For the 2023/2024 the Floorball WA Operations Subcommittee (Operations Subcommittee) have appointed the following referees to the Floorball WA Referee Panel and will be allocated against the FWA allocations in the Division 1 Men’s and Division 1 Women’s divisions.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Respect for Players: Referees shall treat all players with fairness and respect, regardless of their skill level or team affiliation.
- Impartiality: Referees must remain impartial and make decisions based on the rules of the game, without favouritism towards any team.
- Professionalism: Referees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner, both on and off the court.
- Conflict Resolution: Referees should handle conflicts and disputes among players and coaches calmly and professionally, seeking peaceful resolution whenever possible.
- Knowledge of Rules: Referees should have a deep understanding of the IFF Rules of the Game and ensure consistent application during matches that aligns with the Floorball WA panel interpretations and briefings.
- Safety First: Referees must prioritise player safety and take immediate action to prevent dangerous play. Referees should take into account the seriousness of the injury and the flow of the game. However, any head injury or serious injury which causes a player to go to ground should be treated as serious and play stopped immediately.
- Communication: Referees should communicate effectively with players, coaches, and fellow officials (including the Match Secretary). When possible and deemed necessary within the flow of the game referees should provide clear signals for decisions.
- Appearance and Attire: Referees are expected to maintain a neat and professional attire including black shorts / skirt, black socks and a FWA referee shirt which should be tucked in.
- Continual Improvement: Referees should actively seek to improve their officiating skills through training and feedback. Including through observation of their matches by Referee Observers, participate in FWA referee briefings and other courses and opportunities as they arise.
- Accountability: Referees should take responsibility for their decisions and be open to constructive criticism from their peers and their observer to enhance their performance.
